I completely agree. I also enjoyed the Patrick video. So many heresies start as attempts to make God more comprehensible and acceptable to people. I’ve always considered it a mark in the Bible’s favor that it demands we accept things about God that don’t make sense to us. Those aren’t the sort of things people are likely to make up, and why should we expect to understand God when the universe he created is so baffling to us?

I can think of at least one example of a characteristic of God that though perfect, would be wrong to describe as infinite: his patience. He is slow to anger and quick to forgive, but if he tolerated sin forever without any kind of limit, it wouldn’t be patience, but acquiescence.
